The Dickerson Team was formed by Keith and Wendi Dickerson due to their mutual love for real estate. Keith's Bio

Ranked in the TOP 1% in Northern Illinois, Keith prides himself on customer satisfaction and dedicated service. Even though Keith often works with buyers on a regular basis, Keith primarily acts as a listing agent. A graduate of Western Michigan University, Keith uses his knowledge of marketing coupled with his experience in Real Estate to aggressively market homes in the Chicagoland Western Suburbs. Wendi's Bio

Wendi's degree in Communications from Western Michigan University coupled with her background in Computer Engineering and real estate, gives her clients the edge when working with her. Wendi utilizes today's technology to help her clients find the perfect home without wasting their valuable time. Keith said, "I believe two of Wendi's greatest qualities in business would be her attention to detail and her ability to listen to our clients needs. I hear time and time again just how patient Wendi is to work with and how she really cares about the home she is helping her clients buy or sell." Wendi really enjoys working with buyers. She takes pride in finding them their perfect home. Even though Wendi primarily works with more buyers than sellers, when listing a home, she uses The Dickerson Teams marketing system to provide the same fantastic results. Our Family

Keith and Wendi understand how precious time is with your family. One of the reasons Keith and Wendi love real estate is because it allows them to also spend time with their own family.

Meeting at Western Michigan University in 1992, Keith and Wendi were married 3 years later and have been married for over 10 years. They have two boys, Joshua who was born in October of 1999 and Logan who was born in February of 2004. "If we're not working, there's no other place we would rather be than spending time with our boys. Our career affords us a lot of time to spend together as a family, said Keith." "Having two boys can be very demanding, but were glad we have the luxury to adjust our schedules in order to be there for ball games, recitals and more, Wendi said."

Selling Your Home >Playing It Safe

Conduct a thorough check for any safety hazards when you are getting your house ready to put on the market. You may be accustomed to the worn tread on the stairs, toys in the hallway, or closets that deposit their contents at your feet when the door is opened, but strangers won't be as intuitive as you are. They will be vulnerable to those little "hazards" as they walk through your home, turning on the faucets, opening closet doors, and going up and down the stairs.

The stairs are a good place to begin your safety check. Could someone tall accidentally bang their head on a beam, pipe or the ceiling as they go up or down? Is the carpeting on the stairs securely fastened? An area rug should have a non-slip mat underneath.

Safety is important because someone who is injured in your home could sue you for damages. This doesn't happen often, but if it does, it can be extremely unpleasant. "Better safe than sorry" applies to homes as well--especially when they are for sale and open to visits from potential buyers.
